EMI × IMBA

National Central University 2025 Holiday Market Grand Opening
EMI × IMBA Promote English-Medium Business Practice, Cross-Cultural Exchange, and Social Good

All Booth Proceeds Donated to World Vision Taiwan to Continue Spreading Love and Care

[NCU News] National Central University held the 2025 Holiday Market Event Day on December 3, 2025, at the College of Management Building II. The event was co-organized by the College of Management’s EMI Office and the IMBA (International Master of Business Administration) program. Integrating the all English course Cross-Cultural Management, international cultural exchange, and public welfare, the event created a unique market featuring both educational depth and social impact.

The Holiday Market embraced the core spirit of “Learning in Practice × International Exchange.” Guided by EMI all English instruction, students learned business operation models in English and took charge of booth planning, product design, marketing, and on site sales. Centering on traditional foods, cultural items, and specialty dishes from around the world, students transformed classroom learning into practical outcomes. Through lively interactions between local and international students, the event enhanced language use, cross-cultural communication, and global perspectives.

The market was full of energy, showcasing students’ creativity and project planning skills while also highlighting the strength and vitality of NCU’s international education. Even more inspiring, all proceeds from the booths were donated in full to World Vision Taiwan, transforming academic achievements into meaningful social contributions and bringing hope to vulnerable children and families.
As one of Taiwan’s most representative charitable organizations, World Vision Taiwan has long been dedicated to child protection, educational resources, emergency relief, and international aid. Since its establishment, it has continuously worked to improve living and educational environments through scholarship programs, community empowerment, disaster relief, and support mechanisms for disadvantaged families across Taiwan and around the world. By combining hands-on coursework with charitable donations, NCU hopes to inspire students to care for society through real action and to transform learning into long-term impact.

Professor Hsu Wen-Chin, Director of the EMI Office and Chair of the IMBA program, stated that the event served not only as practical training in business application but also as a convergence of language, culture, and public service. “Through an English-medium learning environment, students can interact with classmates from diverse cultural backgrounds. Our collaboration with World Vision through charitable donations further helps students understand the responsibility and meaning of being global citizens.”
Dean Yeh Chin-Hui of the College of Management also emphasized, “Language learning can only be deepened through real-world application. The Holiday Market allows students to use English in authentic situations, showcase creativity, and strengthen project management abilities an essential component of management education.”

The NCU College of Management will continue to promote EMI education, international exchange, and public welfare collaborations. Through interdisciplinary learning and practice, the college aims to equip students with broader global perspectives and stronger capabilities to face global challenges, while encouraging them to give back to society with knowledge and action.
